| Stop relying on chance to lead change and start leading with intention by mobilizing individuals to contribute to the creation of high-impact results.
We invite you to discover our Change Mastery Program, a two-part workshop that prepares managers to be the kind of leaders who know how to lead individuals to find their own solutions. Managers become highly committed to what they are doing whilst learning to become leaders in their own right.
In most transitions today, however, leaders lose so much time on details that they don't have the time or energy to focus on the big picture and truly add value to their organizations. As a result, organizations are left performing at a suboptimal level, individuals are not maximizing their potential, and transitions are not creating the impact they should be.
The three biggest challenges for Leaders of Change today:
- Leading a change initiative where there is no room for failure. The transition you are leading is highly visible. The whole organization is watching and there is a lot riding on the success of this change initiative. The clock is ticking and the pressure is rising.
- A team who is working against you instead of with you. Managers are expressing negative feelings, such as frustration, stress, fear, apathy, around the change initiative. Sometimes it might even feel like it is impossible to convince them of the benefits of the change. As a result, the transition is almost at a standstill, and results are coming in very slowly.
- Spending your time firefighting instead of strategizing. You feel that no one is stepping up to the plate, and you have to do the job of others, since they are not pulling their weight. This has become exhausting, and leaves you with little time to focus on the big picture.
In order to achieve a high impact transformation, as a Change Leader you are probably looking for the following:
- A value-added leadership. You want to step back into your role of leader – focusing on the big picture, the right strategy and the milestones that will ensure a successful transition.
- An organization that can take the right level of risk. The ability to step outside one's comfort zone and boldly look forward is what yields high impact transformations. This is where innovation and creativity can make a real difference to accelerate a transition.
- A team of managers with the right mindset. Successful transitions occur when teams fully endorse a transition, and are able to communicate their excitement and motivation throughout the rest of the organization.
- A team of managers who is accountable and autonomous. It is important for your team to take control of their roles and responsibilities, and reduce unhealthy levels of dependency on you. By doing this, they will become proactive and creative, maximizing their potential and bringing significant added value to the transition.
- A team of managers who is ready to become Leaders of Change. Preparing the next generation of leaders is essential for every organization. Empowering managers will develop commitment and loyalty to the organization whilst developing resilience, flexibility, and effectiveness in all situations of change.
It is possible. The solution is our two-part Change Mastery Program
- Our program creates an alignment between leaders and teams to ensure a successful and rapid transition. Leaders learn to empower their team to take the necessary initiative and become accountable for the high impact transformation.
- Part 1 - Developing team interdependence
In order for teams to feel alignment and a shared sense of purpose, it is important that each member develop self awareness and awareness about others. This awareness creates the foundation for trust and interdependence, the cornerstones of a highly effective and performing team. From this point, clarity and motivation around the change initiative can be obtained by developing a vision, mission statement, roles and responsibilities and actions to be undertaken.
- Part 2 – Empowering managers
Taking a company to the next level, means that everyone has a role to play. Managers must define their own change leadership style that will generate alignment and engagement within their teams. The leader-coach style promotes innovation within individuals and accelerates results.
Other benefits generated by the Change Mastery Program include:
- Managers learn a powerful model of management. This is a leadership style that can be used in all situations and that is focused on the development of people. The Leader-Coach style positions the organization for rapid growth, as individuals become accustomed to taking more risk and being more creative.
- Communication within the organization becomes more effective. The communication style employed through the coach leadership style is one that generates enthusiasm and motivation. Individuals are no longer told what to do through "command and control", but are encouraged to take more initiative.
- The culture of the organization is altered to become one of innovation, initiative, and accountability. As individuals feel empowered to come up with new solutions to the challenges they are facing, the company starts moving to the next level. Individuals take ownership of their roles generating high added value to the organization.
- Individuals feel appreciated and valued. The Leader-coach style encourages managers to give regular and direct feedback to individuals. This leads to a greater sense of appreciation for the contributions being made and to an increased level of motivation, that can be linked to a higher employee retention rate.
- You are now in charge of a team who is not only more cohesive, but who is also having more fun. As the team develops interdependence, working and personal relationships are deepened amongst the members, thus fostering a more enjoyable working environment.
Change Mastery Program Workshop
The workshop is a comprehensive program offered exclusively in-house for groups of 10-15 participants.
Prior to starting the first workshop, participants will be asked to take the DISC assessment. Each participant will be asked to complete an online DISC assessment and will then receive an in-person debriefing of their DISC profile. The DISC assessment captures how we act – our behavior and emotions in a specific environment, and reflects one's behavioral style.
There are two parts comprised in the Change Mastery Program. Both parts include a two-day workshop, so 4 days in total. It is preferable to run the second workshop 1-2 months after the initial workshop to ensure that the team dynamics are securely in place.
Comprehensive post-session training follows to ensure the greatest odds of learning and implementation including:
- Team coaching sessions once a month. These sessions will last ½ - 1 day and will take place in person.
- One on one coaching sessions (optional). These sessions can occur in person or by phone, and last between 1-2 hours.
Bonuses
- A free copy of the Four-Dimensional Manager by Julie Straw to better understand your DISC profile
- Ongoing access to a coach via email to help remove any potential barriers that might arise.
Concerns and fears you might have
- How can a program so short create such an impact?
The skills taught during the workshop are simple, easy to demonstrate and easy to learn. Managers will leave the two-day session with a toolkit that will enable them to generate motivation, creativity, and initiative within their teams, immediately upon returning to work. In addition, the workshops are very hands-on and managers will try new behaviors right away during the workshop and receive live feedback.
- How can I be sure that the learnings from the workshop will "stick"?
Training increases productivity by 22%; when paired with coaching, it increases productivity by 88% - 400% (International Personnel Management Association). The monthly team coaching sessions are designed to ensure that the momentum from the workshop is maintained during the transition, and to help managers address challenges, successes as they change their behaviors. In addition, one on one coaching sessions are also available to further develop momentum and accountability.
- What if participants in the workshop resist the change initiative?
At the start of the program, all participants are asked to declare the issues and challenges they are currently facing. If these topics are not addressed early on, it will be impossible to get the full benefit of the workshop, as these will be "mental distractions" for the participants.
